RTÉ Player is RTÉ's free streaming service. It lets you watch RTÉ channels live and catch up on RTÉ programmes and box sets on your smart TV, streaming stick, phone, tablet or computer. You just need broadband and, for some features, a free RTÉ account.
How to get RTÉ Player on a smart TV

Watching RTÉ Player live
Open the app and choose Live to watch RTÉ One, RTÉ2 and RTÉ News as they are broadcast. Some live sport and imported programmes may be restricted outside Ireland because of broadcast rights.
RTÉ Player not working? Quick fixes
- Restart the TV and router.
- Update the TV software and the RTÉ Player app.
- Clear the app's cache (on Android/Google TV and Fire TV) or reinstall it.
- Sign out and back into your RTÉ account.
- Test your broadband speed — around 5 Mbps is needed for HD.
